Translation

Revision / Editing

This is a separate and additional step to the initial translation process. It involves a careful comparison of the translated text against the original source to ensure that the translation is fully accurate, appropriately worded, free of errors/typos and internally consistent.

Proofreading / Final eye

Proofreading means carefully checking for errors in a text before its publication/sharing. It is the very last stage of the writing process, when we fix minor spelling and punctuation mistakes, typos, formatting issues and inconsistencies that may have been introduced during the desktop publishing process. This last stage is essentially a safety check to confirm there are no errors and to refine wording if needed.
